I am a graduate of Tulane University, where I earned a B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies. During my college years, I tutored on a volunteer basis through TUCAN (Tulane's network for community advancement) the final two years as an executive member. I have tutored students across a range of ages and take pleasure in exploring a variety of subject matter. However, my greatest areas of interest are English Grammar, Spanish Grammar, Literature, and Writing. I also work with students preparing for the SAT and assist with essay editing ESL. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for each individual student, tailored to his or her specific needs, personality, and learning style. The best aspect of tutoring, for me, is the moment when I am able to uncover the obstacle that has been standing in my student's way and help him or her move past that impediment and take control of the subject matter. I reside in Houston, Texas, and when I'm not working, I enjoy playing tennis, camping, hiking, and cooking.
